Does Olivia Pope Drink Too Much Wine?

What is it with TV show Scandal’s creator, Shonda Rhimes and Olivia Pope’s constant consumption of wine every time she looks to be winding down. Does anyone think that Shonda Rhimes is sending a message to the fans with Olivia Pope’s love for wine or perhaps Olivia will become an alcoholic in future episodes. As a fan, I feel that this is totally overdone.
In the last episode, the last thing we saw was Olivia’s wine glass with red wine spilled all over her beloved couch. That would have to be a first. The fans have never seen Ms Pope spill her wine, and especially when Olivia insists on weariing the color white most days. How is it that she manages to stay clean and her clothes blindingly white. Because I love to wear white, and it never stays bright and white for any longer than around 12 hours, and that’s assuming I wear it that long.
Another thing I want to mention is the glass that Ms Pope drinks her red wine from. Has anyone noticed that it is the exact same glass, every single time. And did you also know that fans are going crazy for that wine glass and all want one. It’s just like the scrubs on Grey’s Anatomy. All the fan wanted the scrubs that Meredith, Cristina, McDreamy or Burke wore in the beginning. I guess they wanted the other doctors scrubs too, but let’s face it, the four docs above were the most popular.
And last but not least, fans can buy this wine glass at Crate and Barrel, whatever that place is? I have never heard of it. If you are lucky you might even find these glasses on Ebay.
