Sarah Shahi's New Series Reverie Pushed To Summer

The second I read about this show being picked
up by NBC, I knew that the producers should
have taken it to cable or Netflix.

There is no way a cable company or streaming
service would treat a new show, with a totally
unique and original premise with the added
bonus of Person of Interest Alum, Sarah Shahi.

To say that I am pissed off about this would
be putting it mildly. Anyway take a look at
the article on Spoiler TV and some really
great previews. I have not watched them, as
I prefer to start a show with no idea of what
might be coming. Normally I would not
watch a freshman show that a network has
done this too, because it is very likely said
show will  not get a second season.

In any case, you are all free to draw your own
conclusions about that:

Read what BadCode had to say about this news here:

This show is the top show on my list that I was looking forward to seeing and I have been assuming it would be shown mid season, starting with ten episodes. When I read last week that it had been pushed to summer, I was furious. Why pick up a show and order it to series, only to put it on in the summer when it is likely to not rate well and is assured a cancellation. This show could have been a hit, but it's obvious to me, that the bosses at NBC would not recognise a potential hit series if it jumped up and bit them in the arse. I am so disappointed. I will still watch simply because I adore Sarah Shahi, but this show has a great premise and could have done really well. Sadly I think that the producers should have taken this show to the cable companies, because I am pretty sure it would be given better treatment than a network TV company. Damn I hope Sarah's awesome acting and the great premise are enough to get the viewers in the demographic the network needs to renew it for a full season or even a shortened season. I am praying that this happens as I really wanted to see this show succeed and be able to watch Sarah in her own show. Please everyone who is interested in this show, try to watch it live so it gets the numbers to be renewed.

See in the original artwork, the date reads March 2018

Watch these previews with Sarah Shahi talking about Reverie:

You will find more You Tube videos and previews of upcoming
TV shows on YouTube or on our Facebook page.

And lastly Sarah Shahi has recently completed an arc in
Chicago Fire, which I am not sure has gone to air yet, but if
Reverie doesn't work out perhaps there is a place on
Chicago Fire for Sarah to be a permanent cast member and
it's highly likely that Chicago Fire will be renewed for another
season.

For the record, I totally hate this idea and I want Reverie to
succeed in the ratings. I believe that Sarah Shahi is extremely
talented and deserves her own show, however network TV shows
depend on a very archaic business model, which streaming
services are simply laughing at as they continue to take more and
more viewers away from network TV. And I am laughing at them
too, because I have been blogging about network TV's outdated
business practices for years now.

I have pissed and moaned about this very thing in Australia too
for years now and yet, none of the Free to Air (FTA) Channels
listen to their viewers, they never have. My only was to protest
was to boycott them all, including Australia's overly priced,
monopoly of a cable service.

I really believe that the networks will never wake up and
realise that more people outside their 18-49 demographic
are watching these channels and the prized advertising
demographic that ad companies so desperately want to show
their ads to are not watching network TV anymore. I don't believe
they'll ever wake up, so I am counting the days/weeks/years
until these network go bankrupt.

Reasons Why Netflix Or Other Networks Should Pick Up Person Of Interest

SAVE

Person of Interest is the most original and unique series to hit TV in many years. The premise is something that has never been done. The writing is excellent and the acting by Michael Emerson, Jim Cavaziel, and the rest of this wonderful cast is some of the best acting I have ever seen on a TV series. I am also sure that millions of other fans cannot be wrong.

The Stars of Person of Interest, Michael Emerson and Jim Caviezel

Person of Interest has a cult following and CBS do not realise just how many fans this show has. In all fairness, CBS only only have the rights to broadcast this series and the only profit they make is from ratings, so their decision to cut a show that has been critically acclaimed for four seasons to half a season was stupid in many fan's opinions. However, they are a business and ratings are what drives a TV network.

The creators of this show did not see it ending after four and a half seasons, in fact one of the creators recently said that Person of Interest has been planned out to go for at least six full seasons, perhaps seven. The way this story has been told has been perfect in every way. The creators have solved certain mysteries and developed their characters at exactly the right speed. There is more than enough story there left to tell to keep fans interested for many seasons. When I first saw Season one, I knew the creators had enough there to tell a wonderful story for at least five seasons.

So here we are at Season five which is due to premiere on CBS in January, possibly November if we are lucky. We just have to hope that one of CBS's new shows tanks, which is a possibility. If this show was shown at a decent time, it would rate well and make the network who chooses to make a deal with the owners of this show a tidy profit. CBS ruined their great ratings of Person of Interest when they moved it to a 10 pm Tuesday timeslot.

The millions of fans all over the world will subscribe to Netflix just to get this show, I believe this because many fans have told me this. I will move heaven and earth to get access to the US Netflix if they pick up POI and I can also guarantee that no fan of this show wants to see it end. This show is also popular in Australia and many fans will watch via Netflix because the Nine Network in Australia treat this show like shit!

What the fans want is for the creators to tell the story as planned, and not rush it to finish up the show in fifteen episodes. It will ruin this show and Season five will not be relevant to this series. Not in my opinion and not in many fan's opinions.

In my opinion if Person of Interest ends after fifteen episodes in 2016, I will consider the Season Four finale to be the series end. The story left to tell can not be summed up in fifteen episodes, no matter how great the writing is.

I really hope that Netflix or another network that might be interested decide to pick up the rights to this series. Little do many people realise, but there are millions of fans who do not want to see it end this way, for many reasons and for the reasons outlined above.

The sad thing is, that this show is an original concept and idea, and many other writers and film creators will try to copy this series and make their own versions of artificial intelligence TV shows. Every new show that is similar to Person of Interest will suck. A lot of the fans feel as though there are many TV executives out there who have failed to see how great this show is, perhaps it is up to the fans to show the way.

Netflix; please consider what has been said here. I am certain there are a lot of fans campaigning TV networks to pick up Person of Interest.

Person Of Interest Will Premiere In January - CBS Have Ordered 13 Episodes

What a great way to ruin a great show. Yes, I am fully aware that Warner Bros own Person of Interest, but what amazes me is that these idiot TV executives take on these shows that they do not own if they are not going to ensure the show keeps getting high ratings. Moving this show to Tuesdays at 10 pm was a huge mistake, because the ratings started to drop from the start of Season Three.

Haven't CBS ever heard of the saying "If it is not broken, then don't fix it" And CBS have broken this golden rule. A petition is doing the rounds and if you would like to sign it to support this amazing show you will find it here.

Goodbye Private Practice

It was highly likely that when Kate Walsh announced that it was her intention to leave that Private Practice would be axed. Instead of ABC ordering the usual twenty two episodes, they went for thirteen, this was probably done to get an idea of ratings and to make a decision based on what the show was making in advertising. Shonda Rhimes, announced via an interview that Private Practice would finish and that episode thirteen would be their last. The last hurrah for the characters at Seaside Wellness was a really great finale. No big death, or tragedy that Shonda Rhimes is famous for on Grey’s Anatomy, just a well rounded wrap up for her characters.

Shonda Rhimes wrote on her website that she had never ended a TV show before, so she was in unfamiliar territory. However for someone who has no experience in writing a Series Final, she did extremely well. It probably helped that she likely had fair warning that Private Practice would not continue after Kate Walsh left. And one wonders if Kate saw it coming and jumped ship, but she has other irons in the fire so to speak; so this is unlikely. Shonda had the time to dedicate to giving the series, Grey’s Anatomy’s spin off a fitting ending.

Would Private Practice gone onto good or better ratings without Kate Walsh, and had they gotten the twenty-two episode, they would have been minus Benjamin Bratt too; as Addison and Jake married in the Finale, so if Addison left Seaside then Jake would surely have to follow. Or would she have gone a different way and broke up the couple, leaving Addie to ride off into the sunset with Henry. Who knows? And it’s all speculation; Private Practice would likely have tanked without the lead character.

The other actors are great, but none of them really had enough popularity among viewers to carry the show. Kadee Strickland is one character that comes to mind to take over Kate’s role as lead actress, because she is popular with the fans and absolutely, stunningly, beautiful. Many Grey’s Anatomy fans would have tuned out, because of Addison. She was popular on Grey’s Anatomy and many fans of that show wanted her to stay and get together with Mark (McSteamy) Sloan or Alex.

So it’s goodbye to one of my favourite medical shows, and I will just have to get the rest of the seasons on DVD and watch them when ever I want a fix of Addison Montgomery magic or just want to perve on Jake Riley; what a hottie.

What do you think? Would you love another network to pick up Private Practice or do you think it’s time to say goodbye.

I am really surprised to realise how much I miss Private Practice. Now that the last episode has gone to air; and it’s not on TV anymore; I really miss Addison Montgomery and her friends. I loved Kate Walsh in that role, and she is terrific actress, so I am hoping she will be on my TV on something good soon.

Hopefully she will come back to Seattle Grace to stir up things with some of the characters there, now that would be entertaining and she can bring her new husband too, Benjamin Bratt is obscenely gorgeous. After six years Private Practice has ended. More than a month ago now; the final Private Practice episode was aired in the United States.
